Our Process
Every project we take on is unique. Whether you’re planning to extend your home or build something new, we always follow the same process. Following an initial consultation, we will be able to let you know which of the following services are necessery in your case to meet your project requirements, along with a fixed quotation for each stage.
Stage 0 / Initial Consultation
Following your initial contact, we will arrange a date for a site meeting to discuss your ideas. During this meeting, we will be listening and gathering enough information to form a solid idea and understanding of your site and project. We will discuss feasibility and advise on any foreseeable challenges.
If we are successful in agreeing the viability of your project during Stage 0, we will provide a fixed quotation and Letter of Appointment for your consideration.

Approx. Timescale: 2 - 4 weeks
Stage 1 / Measured Survey
This first stage is all about information gathering. We will continue on with our initial discussions during Stage 0, to establish a Brief (detailed description) of your project goals and requirements. Depending on the size and scale of the project, this may only require one meeting or multiple meetings to establish.
This stage includes a Measured Survey of your existing property, which normally takes one or two full days on site. We will normally require access to the entire property during this stage. At the end of Stage 1, we will have a clear idea of what you are looking to achieve, along with detailed accurate drawings of your existing property, ready to use in the following design stages.
Fee: £450 - £1800
Approx. Timescale: 2 - 4 weeks
Stage 2 / Concept Design
With all the information gathered and drawings produced during Stage 1, we can befing working together to produce a Concept Design and set of Proposed drawings which hopefully meet all of the objectives and requirements set out during Stages 0 and 1. This could be in the form of hand sketches, 2D CAD drawings or 3D models, depending on what is required. During this stage we will sit down and finalise our proposals, ironing out any changes before proceeding to aquire the necessary statutory approvals.

Fee: £850 - £3500 (New Builds)
Approx. Timescale: 4 - 6 weeks
Stage 3 / Planning
When we are all satisfied with our proposed design, we will produce and submit planning applications as necessary for your project.
Fee: £450 - £1200
Approx. Timescale: 6 - 6 weeks
Stage 4 / Building Regs.
Once we have all the necessary approvals in place, we will continue on to produce detailed Building Regulation drawings and Construction notes. These detailed drawings show how the proposed building will be constructed - …
